I am trying to think what these things have in common... Santa Claus, the Pope (?), a guy in a blue and red suit, and a bear... Someone more creative than me will have to do the background story on that.

Looks like the result of several under-employed performance artists who, while blindfolded, randomly tore pages out of some children's books and were doomed to act out whatever character was on the page. That, or the Pope, St. Nick, and the Belgian Bear's Union steward are marching the Prince of Denmark around Bruges in his worst outfit as a stunt to get on "What Not to Wear - Belgium Edition."

There were also people dressed up as the Pink Ladies & Greasers (I think that's what they called themselves) from Grease, a big pig float called the "Piggy Party", a bunch of people dressed up as green aliens...they all congregated in this square and started dancing around. I had no idea what was going on.
